Embracing Change: The Journey of Our Rebranding
Our oceans are facing more challenges than ever before—from plastic pollution to the rising threat of climate change. While it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the scale of the problem, it’s easier to feel hopeful when we help each other find solutions.
Supporting Code Blue was our way of doing that. A marine conservation initiative organized by Metro Divers, it aims to bring together divers, snorkelers, and coastal volunteers to help clean up marine debris from our seas.
In 2024, Code Blue was a huge success, boasting over 100 volunteers. This year, Metro Divers shifted their focus toward a fundraising drive. Their target was to get 110 volunteers raising a total of P80,000 for dive logistics, safety equipment, volunteer kits, and post-cleanup waste management. It was a bit different from last year’s anniversary event, but just as important—and we were thrilled to be a part of it.
For us, contributing to this effort was more than about donating or spreading the word. We wanted to show up. It was a chance to do something real for a cause, that’s why 10 of us took to the shores and volunteered.
What made Code Blue special was how inclusive it was. One doesn’t need to be a marine expert or seasoned swimmer to participate. As long as you care about the sea, whether you’re a snorkeler, a freediver, or even a kid who just loves to wade across the waters, there’s a place for you. Seeing people from all walks of life come together for a common cause was like witnessing a gentle ripple transform into a powerful wave—a reminder that even small actions, when done together, make a big difference.
This experience also helped put the work that we do into perspective. As an insurance company, our service is rooted in protection: of people, of futures, and of the things that matter most. It’s only fitting to extend that to our environment as well.
The ocean is a vital part of our world. When we protect it, we’re helping ensure a healthier, cleaner future for us and the coming generations.
